Can I still apply for the $100 Power Saving Bonus for concession card households?

No, the Power Saving Bonus program opened on 25 August 2025 and closed for new applications on 31 March 2026.

I failed to apply for the Power Saving Bonus before 31 March 2026 due to extenuating circumstances.

What is the Power Saving Bonus program?

The Power Saving Bonus is an initiative designed to provide real cost-of-living help to Victorians, whilst encouraging them to compare energy offers and save money by switching to a cheaper energy plan by using the Victorian Energy Compare website.

There have been five rounds of the Power Saving Bonus program, delivered between July 2018 and March 2026.

All previous rounds of the Power Saving Bonus program are closed for new applications.

What additional support is available to households having difficulties paying their energy bills?

Households who are having trouble paying their energy bills can access the Energy Assistance Program – a free over the phone support service. To speak to an energy advocate, call 1800 161 215 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (except public holidays).
