Applicants must accept the following terms and conditions and consent to data sharing in order to apply for the $250 Power Saving Bonus.

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is committed to protecting personal information provided by you in accordance with the principles of the Victorian privacy laws.

The Power Saving Bonus program and the underlying Victorian Energy Compare website service are governed by a privacy statement which is located at compare.energy.vic.gov.au/privacy.

By applying for the Victorian Government's $250 Power Saving Bonus, you will be asked to supply certain information to administer the Program. Information that you provide will only be used for these purposes and will be held and used in accordance with our privacy policy.

By choosing to apply for the $250 Power Saving Bonus you are granting permission for DEECA to confirm your identity and eligibility by verifying your Centrelink customer details with Services Australia.

By choosing to submit a claim for the $250 Power Saving Bonus, you are acknowledging that parts of the information you have provided may be sent to a third party for verification purposes. No personally identifiable information will be retained by those parties, and your information will not be used by those parties to contact you at any time, nor will your information be shared by those parties, to any other parties. You may access the information you have provided to Victorian Energy Compare by contacting us.

I authorise:

• The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) to use Centrelink Confirmation eServices to perform a Centrelink enquiry of my Centrelink/DVA customer details and concession card status to enable the business to determine if I qualify for a $250 Power Saving Bonus.
• Services Australia (the agency) to provide the results of that enquiry to DEECA. 

I understand that: 

• The agency will disclose personal information to DEECA including my name, address and concession card type and status to confirm my eligibility for the $250 Power Saving Bonus.
• This consent, once agreed, remains valid while I am a customer of DEECA unless I withdraw it by contacting DEECA or the agency. I can get proof of my circumstances/details from the agency and provide it to DEECA so my eligibility for the $250 Power Saving Bonus can be determined.
• If I withdraw my consent or do not alternatively provide proof of my circumstances/details, I may not be eligible for the $250 Power Saving Bonus provided by DEECA.

  I consent to Services Australia to provide the Centrelink/DVA details to DEECA.
  I can confirm I am receiving payments under an eligible concession program, or that I hold a DVA Gold Card.
